Walking on the Water

Many things are breaking loose and we are being freed from old structures of the past.  God has led us to go to our past to correct our future.   As we walk into our future, there is a new apparel.   Our appearance is different, because we are discovering who we really are.  We are not what our past has tried to dictate to us anymore, and we are not attached to the old structures of bondage our ancestors had.  We are free, and we look free!

God has led us, like in the movie “Back To The Future”, to go back in time to correct our future.  How did we do that?  By forgiving the past sins of our ancestors and releasing them from their bondages and curses, in so doing we release healing and restoration to them, and to us!

In the forgiveness of our sins through the blood of Jesus, we have been given the right to forgive others (especially those in our blood line) and reconcile them to God the Father.  In that we can break every curse, every lie, every disease, and whatever else the Holy Spirit may lead you to or you can think of that was passed down through our ancestors DNA to us.

II Corinthians 5:18 – 19  NIV

            “All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them.  And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.”

God the Father is perfect in all that He does.  Jesus is the Son of God and that makes Him an eternal person.   Therefore the blood of Jesus is eternal.  The Blood of Jesus covers our past, present and future.  It covers our ancestors (past), us (present) and our children (future).

Having said that:

We are now walking in a realm of revelation we have never known before!   Everything Jesus did was for a reason.  First the natural and then the spiritual.  He showed us in the natural what we could do in the Spirit!  One amazing natural thing Jesus showed us to do was to walk on the water.

I Corinthians 15:44-49

            “There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.  And so it is written, ‘The first man Adam became a living being.’  The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.  However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual.  The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from Heaven.  As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the Heavenly Man, so also are those who are Heavenly.  And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the Heavenly Man.”

Jesus showed us in the natural how to walk on the water.  It’s a walk of revelation!  A Spirit walk!  This is truly a new way.   God the Father wants to build His church or family on revelation, because revelation is what sets us free.

The disciples were crossing over to the other side of the lake.  They were going the way they knew to go, by old structures and old ways of doing things.  They were living in the natural unaware of the Spiritual.  Then Jesus showed up walking on the water!  It was a paradigm shift!

In one place of the Bible it was written that Jesus, while walking on the water, was going right past the disciples in their boat, but He heard them crying out in fear of a ghost on the water.  So He came back to them, told them not to be afraid that it was Him, and then when He got in the boat with them they were immediately on the other side of the lake at their destination.  Wow!

This is the realm that Jesus and the Father are living in.  The natural has nothing on them.  Even though we have been born into the natural realm, God wants us to live in the Spirit realm and trump the devil.  The devil thinks he has the upper hand because he lives in the spirit realm, but he does not know the plans of God.  He does not know the plans god has for you!  He lives in the darkness and cannot comprehend the light of God.

Jesus has shown us a better way that is beyond the natural.  It’s God’s way.  It’s a place that is beyond us “except by revelation”.  We can live there, but it is by revelation.

It was scary at first when the disciples saw Jesus walking on the water.  They thought it was a ghost.  And so it is with us, it may be scary at first when we see what the Lord is doing.  It’s beyond what we know.  It’s the realm of the Spirit, a place of revelation.   It’s a place of faith and trust!

Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water to Jesus.  It was beyond him and everything he knew in the natural.  Proving that the revelation or insight God the Father gives us is beyond what we know of this natural realm.  It supersedes this natural realm, because it is by His Spirit!

This new place, this gate, this door that we are going through has crossed over the line of the natural into the Spirit.  It is causing us to do, and see, and think, and hear in a way that we never have before.

So let’s step out in faith, trust in God, follow His leading, and walk on the water of revelation!
