Ducks in a Row

We’ve all heard the quote from the Wizard of Oz, “Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!”

Recently I have been hearing, “Ducks and Dogs . . .  Lions and Lambs!”  . . . Oh my!

What was God wanting me to see and understand?  And then, in a vision, I saw 2 places many believers have fallen into, and then . . . the place God wants us to be in.

First, there are many people who want to do great things for the Kingdom of God, but have all these ducks waddling around.  These ducks can represent a number of things in a person’s life.   And the idea of chasing these ducks, trying to get them to form a straight line, is really to no avail.  There are so many believers in Jesus who feel they must have “all their ducks in a row” before they can be used by God!  Not so!  Don’t fall into that hopeless place of never measuring up.  We all fall short, and that is why Jesus came in the first place.  Without Him we are nothing, but in Jesus we become something amazing, a child of God!  And not just an amazing child of God, but empowered by His word and His presence!

What is a great thing you can do for the Kingdom of God?  We can make a difference in others lives in simple things . . . like showing true concern for someone, taking their hand and then praying for them.  The presence of God is always with us.  We simply need to impart His love to them, and He is faithful to do the rest.

“I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation!”

“I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me!”

Secondly, I began to see a training facility for dogs, and these dogs were receiving treats and rewards for their accomplishments.  These dogs represented the believers who are stuck in performance mode!   Unbeknown to many followers of Christ Jesus, they have gotten busy working for admiration.  There comes a point in your walk with Jesus that the training ends and you are sent out into the harvest fields.  We all have gifts and talents in the Kingdom that God Himself put in your DNA so you would have a place in Kingdom harvest.  How wonderful!

Growing in the word and in our personal relationships with the Holy Spirit never ends, but being trained for another’s ministry at some point must come to an end.  There is a harvest field for you to reap.  Don’t be afraid to pursue your passion for God’s glory and honor.  He put that passion in you!

“Do you not say, it is still four months until harvest time comes?  Look!  I tell you, raise your eyes and observe the field and see how they are already white for harvesting.”  John 4:35 The Amplified Bible

Thirdly I saw, we have not been called as ducks . . .  nor as dogs . . . but as sheep!

You do not have to have it all together with all your ducks in a row, and it’s not about your performance for someone else’s admiration, but it’s about God the Father’s purpose for you!

Your life has been woven together for your harvest and for His purpose!

We are His sheep!

“The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me.”  John 10:27 Amplified Bible

So, let’s be bold as a Lion, knowing perfectly well who you have been trained up to be!

“The wicked flee when no man pursues them, but the (uncompromisingly) righteous (one who walks in right standing with God) are bold (fearless and unshakable) as a lion (a son of God).”  Proverbs 28:1 The Amplified Bible

“For we are God’s (own) handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, (born anew) that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) (in your DNA), for us (taking paths which He prepared ahead of time for us to take), that we should walk in them (living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live).”  Ephesians 2:10 The Amplified Bible

Ducks in a row?  Ha!

Dogs being trained?  Ha Ha!

Sheep!  Following the path, He has already made for us!

I’m truly enjoying the design and layout of your blog. It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more pleasant for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a designer to create your theme? Exceptional work!
